TÜV Rheinland, a German firm of great international prestige, evaluated the CBTC system (“Communication Based Train Control”) of the Autotren and the technical capacity of Modutram, finding them capable of achieving correct compliance with the requirements of the European railway safety standard EN 50126/8/9 for a commercial Autotren facility. It is the firm suggested to be contracted by the Competent Authority to evaluate functional safety from the executive project to the certification of a specific Autotren installation.
